It is Holy Week! That is, this is the week we journey as the Body, headlong into the story of Jesus. To do this we meet as Church to reflect on Jesus' story, and discover how our story is woven by God into the Christ story.
Tuesday and Wednesday at 7pm we reflect upon Manitoulin Island artist Leland Bell's Stations of the Cross, and share communion.
Maundy Thursday at 6pm we meet for rustic potluck (cold easy to serve, eat, and clean up foods), wash feet (and hands), and share communion. This is a hauntingly beautiful ceremony.
Good Friday we meet at 10am to participate in the Passion of Christ, and realize "It is finished." Participants reflect on Word said and sung, and the silence with which we must leave a crucified Jesus.
Easter Sunday begins with a sacred fire at 7am in our parking lot. We will sing the sunrise, and rejoice in the risen Christ. The new fire is kindled for the relationship God has with the entire world.
At 10am we celebrate 3 Baptisms and New Communion.
All are welcome to participate fully in the Body of Christ - the sign of the
"Who do you say that I AM?. We are one Body, raised to new life, love and action.
